The conversion and extension of an old factory into a museum are conceived around the idea of the patio, which plays a central role in Andalusian architectural culture.

The public facilities, including a café, media library, and reception hall, together with the administrative areas, are accommodated within the renovated historic building.

Arranged around a covered courtyard are four building volumes housing the various exhibition spaces.
