Architecture lies somewhere between engineering and design, whether it involves the smallest sketch or the largest stadium. What fascinates us is the ability to look at a project from different perspectives and bring them together in a meaningful way.
At times, we are aesthetes; at others, representatives of the client, project managers, or technical consultants—and sometimes even a little bit of a psychologist. We are nothing specific, yet a little bit of everything. It is about remaining calm and maintaining an overview, enabling us to provide the right support to others.
Within the overall framework of a project, the role of architecture is to bring all these interests together, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome for everyone involved. When we succeed, the result is a work that fulfils the client’s wishes and vision, and that everyone involved can be proud of. And that is precisely our ambition: to make it happen every time.
Ziel means goal, objective, purpose in German. That is our goal: to create architecture. Good architecture.

ziel : architektur was founded in Berlin in 2015 by Ausias José Lobatón Ortega. He has been working as an architect in Berlin since 2007. After gaining his first professional experience at a large international architectural firm, he began working as an independent architect in early 2011. He is a member of the Chambers of Architects in Berlin and Valencia, Spain.
Since then, his accumulated experience in residential construction—both in project development and construction—has inspired him and sparked a growing passion for this field.
To bring projects to life, he works closely with trusted specialist consultants and other architects. The only prerequisite is a passion for architecture and the determination to achieve outstanding results.
